The base is made from 25mm (1") thick
all weather pressure treated wood, this is essential to ensure a long life of
the planter. Be careful of sellers who use sub-standard material for
the bases which will not stand the test of time as the base takes most of the
weight and is in constant contact with soil & moisture.
